Sharing traditions

Aboriginals are particularly renowned for their basket-weaving techniques. This was taken at a weaving workshop at Mullibah Lagoon, a place of significant importance to our local Gamilaroi people.

Ice Works.

This is the old ice works building in Maitland street.  Ice back then was frozen water… I am not sure now what an old ice works building will look

Old bricks from Homestead at Keepit Dam now exposed due to the drought

Woolshed

Canon 70D, HDR mode +/- 3, ISO-100, 18mm, f/7.1, 1/1000sec

Built in 1868 replacing the previous woolshed that was washed away in the 1864 flood.

The 20 stand shed was used to shear around 40,000 sheep annually.
