November Open Competition

“Bright eyes”
Canon 70D with Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens
Aperture Priority Mode: f/5.6, 1/25sec, ISO-100, spot metering, focal length 80mm
Next door’s Heinz variety moggy has amazingly yellow eyes & often seeks refuge in my yard away from their dogs & kids.
Spotted it from my kitchen window in a patch of sun which was making it’s eyes look even brighter.
I’ve tried many times before to capture those eyes but it usually takes off as soon as I go outside.
Grabbed the camera off the kitchen bench (with kit lens attached) & did my best stealth mode impression.
Not much reach on that lens so could only get as close as I dared.
Was particularly happy to have got the eye sharpness I did handheld at such a low shutter speed for me ( I normally have no success with anything less than 1/80)
Very little editing apart from heavy crop & slight exposure adjustment.

Love: Canon 70D, f/2.8, 1/50, ISO-800, 100mm. This is a small figurine about 12cm x 12cm. It was placed on a chair about 50cm in front of a beach cafe painting to give the illusion the couple are at the beach.love
A Cheeky Moment:

Company: Photo taken on Pandoras Pass Road between Bundella and Coolah. I was thrilled to catch the ducks in flight using my 55-300mm lens and the camera on sport mode.
The photo has not been edited in any way.

Bewitching Hour
This photo was taken on our way home from an outing to Windy Station and apart from the great moon and foreground I can’t really think of anything to say about it. I just like it
My setting were Manual, with f/8   1/3 sec   ISO 400
The only editing I did was to crop the photo a bit.
