Have to be so blessed to have about 30 of these male Blue Banded Bees call my red Salvia home every night for many weeks this year.
Their antics as they fly in to roost & jostle for position on the same bare stalks each night are a joy to watch

Easter Sunday morning in a friends kitchen
Plant sitting on a white marble type bench with a glass panel behind it. Backdrop was next door neighbours white cement wall.
Indirect sunlight was shining through the glass panel creating a contrast inside.
I have used lightroom to crop and change to B & W and tweaked exposure to show more detail in the leaves.
If only I knew how to remove the marks on the bench (or thought to have cleaned the bench first)
